According to a recent Center for Civic Participation and Democracy (CPD) report, in the last three months, Germany, France, and the UK have experienced notable digital visibility within Romania’s online landscape. This evaluation coincides with a period of heightened geopolitical activity — from the start of Trump’s second term to escalating tensions involving Ukraine and Russia — sparking debates and policy efforts focused on enhancing Europe’s defense posture and preparedness.

Germany saw the highest number of mentions, totaling almost 25.400, with a significant peak on February 23, the day of its highly contested parliamentary elections, when it recorded over 1.100 mentions and an estimated 12.8 million views.

The UK recorded the broadest overall audience reach, with an estimated 639.8 million views over the entire period. Its peak visibility occurred on March 1, when President Zelensky visited Prime Minister Starmer at Downing Street ahead of the defense summit in London—an event that followed closely after the widely discussed Oval Office meeting between Ukrainian and US officials. This visit generated 581 online mentions and an estimated 10.7 million potential views.
