As digital media continues to shape public conversation, and with social platforms playing a key role during Romania’s recent elections, the Center for Civic Participation and Democracy (CPD) extended its monitoring efforts into early 2024. Between December and February, the team tracked how Romania’s main public institutions were represented online, using media intelligence and social listening tools to measure mentions and estimated reach on both news websites and Facebook. The result offers a snapshot of institutional visibility, influence, and the narratives driving online engagement.
