How to use TOPICS

What is the Topics Feature?

NewsVibe introduces Topics, a cutting-edge semantic clustering tool designed to streamline access to the most significant discussions of the day. With Topics, you can easily uncover trends and key themes, saving time and eliminating information overload.

NewsVibe uses advanced technology to group similar articles and posts together based on their meaning. This helps you quickly find related news or posts without sifting through endless content.

How Does It Work?

  • Access Topics: Find the Topics feature in the main menu. From there, you can explore Topics related to your Saved Reports or NewsVibe Categories.
  • Explore Categories: Dive deeper into specific areas like Sports, Politics, Economy, and more. Select a category to view the most relevant topics from a chosen day.
  • Understand Impact: Each topic cluster includes an impact score, showing the number of related articles and their potential reach.

Features of Topics

  • Clusters: Grouping content by similarity, topics reflect the number of related articles and their impact score, indicating reach and relevance.
  • Category Insights:
    • 15 clusters per category.
    • Each cluster contains statistics regarding the number of hits (i.e. the number of articles that belong to each cluster) and total impact, and displays the 10 most impactful articles or Facebook posts from a chosen day.
    • Clusters are sorted by the number of hits, and the green highlight indicates their impact (cumulative for each cluster).
  • Saved Reports:
    • Limited to 10 clusters per saved report.
    • Each cluster contains statistics regarding the number of hits (i.e. the number of articles that belong to each cluster) and total impact, and displays the 10 most impactful articles or Facebook posts from a chosen day.
    • Clusters are only available starting the next day after saving the report.
    • Clusters are sorted by the number of hits, and the green highlight indicates their impact (cumulative for each cluster).

Note on Availability

Clusters are created for a single day only and become accessible the day after saving a report. For instance, a report saved on January 26 will be available from January 27 onwards. There is no access to historical data (pre-save date) for Topics for Saved Reports.

Use Cases

  1. Stay Updated on Key Themes
Quickly identify the day’s most discussed topics, from breaking news in Politics to trending stories.
  2. Industry Monitoring
Journalists or analysts can track emerging trends in their industry by exploring clusters in specific categories.
  3. Streamline Content Research
Avoid information overload by focusing on semantically grouped articles that matter most to your Saved Reports.
