NewsVibe is monitoring thousands of online sources, focusing on websites, Facebook pages, YouTube and TikTok. All of the sources have been curated based on their importance in each country’s media sphere, eliminating any noise or sources with small impact. The reason for this is twofold – to gather only the news that truly matters and to avoid the amplification of specific news due to their proliferation on small-impact websites. NewsVibe does not intend to offer an exhaustive overview of each country’s media sphere, but rather focus on high-impact sources in general and in their specific niches (such as economy, lifestyle, sports and others).
The NewsVibe Top Source Collections are curated lists of sources grouped by editorial profile, content domains etc. These can be customized, and new collections can be created based on a particular user’s interests.
How is the impact calculated?
The NewsVibe impact score represents the potential reach of an article and is calculated based on a proprietary algorithm. The impact score takes into account multiple factors such as the source’s number of followers, time of day in which the post has been made, day of the week and others.
There are two different types of impact score:
- The impact score of a source
- The impact score of a post
Each of these are calculated differently according to the factors mentioned above.
Sources and Impact

The Sources section in NewsVibe focuses on monitoring relevant online outlets, ensuring the selection reflects the most impactful entities in the monitored media landscape. Here’s an overview of how sources are selected and categorized.
What’s Included in the Sources
NewsVibe’s curated list consists of high-impact websites, Facebook pages, YouTube and TikTok channels, such as:
- Major news websites: Covering national and local updates.
- Influencers and politicians: Key voices with significant public reach.
- Lifestyle and health publications: Covering niche areas like wellness or fashion.
- Specialized domains: Including business, energy, economy, sports, trade unions, and others.
What’s Excluded from the Sources

Why This Approach?
The focus is on gathering news that truly matters, avoiding redundancy or irrelevant proliferation. While not exhaustive, NewsVibe prioritizes high-impact sources across general and niche areas.
Understanding Impact Scores
The Impact Score in NewsVibe represents the potential reach of articles and is calculated using a proprietary algorithm. Here’s a breakdown of how it works.
Types of Impact Scores
- Source Impact Score
- Measures the potential reach of a news source.
- Post Impact Score
- Indicates the reach potential of individual posts or articles.
Factors Influencing the Impact Score
The algorithm evaluates multiple elements, including:
- Audience size: Number of followers or subscribers to the source.
- Timing: Time of day and day of the week when the content is published.
- Additional metrics: Other proprietary data points to refine accuracy.
What It Means
The Impact Score provides users with insights into the visibility and relevance of both sources and individual posts, helping prioritize information effectively.
